Supporting the Next Generation of Child Neurologists

Child Neurocon 2027 is committed to making world-class pediatric neurology education accessible to all. We offer travel grants, fee waivers, and recognition awards across multiple categories to support trainees, young researchers, and delegates from low-resource regions.

Applications are reviewed by an independent grants committee and decisions are based on academic merit, financial need, and contribution to the conference.

Four flagship grant categories targeting different career stages and circumstances.

International

International Travel Grant

USD 1,500 each

For: International trainees, fellows, and early-career neurologists from low- and middle-income countries.

Covers: Economy return airfare + 3 nights accommodation + complimentary conference registration.

ELIGIBILITY

Resident, fellow, or early-career physician (within 5 years of training)

From a low- or middle-income country (World Bank classification)

Accepted abstract for oral or poster presentation

Letter of recommendation from a senior faculty mentor

First-time applicant for Child Neurocon

National

National Travel Grant

₹ 25,000 each

For: Indian PG students, DM/DNB residents, and senior residents from non-metropolitan institutions.

Covers: Travel reimbursement + 2 nights accommodation + complimentary conference registration.

ELIGIBILITY

Indian PG student, fellow, or senior resident

From a Tier-2 or Tier-3 city institution (preference given)

Accepted abstract for oral or poster presentation

Letter from Head of Department / institution

Annual household income below ₹ 15 lakhs (declaration)

Award

Young Investigator Award

₹ 50,000 + Plaque

For: Researchers under 35 years presenting original, high-quality research.

Covers: Cash prize, recognition plaque, and invitation to chair a session at the next Child Neurocon.

ELIGIBILITY

Under 35 years of age on 1 January 2027

Accepted oral presentation at Child Neurocon 2027

Original research (not previously awarded elsewhere)

Must be the first or corresponding author

Five finalists selected from all eligible abstracts

Equity

Women in Neurology Grant

₹ 30,000 each

For: Female pediatric neurologists in early to mid-career, especially mothers returning from career breaks.

Covers: Travel reimbursement + accommodation + complimentary registration + dedicated mentorship session.

ELIGIBILITY

Female physician in pediatric neurology training or practice

Within 10 years of completing residency

Active clinical or academic engagement

Brief statement on career goals and barriers (max 500 words)

Includes optional childcare support for the conference duration

Online application portal opens. Begin gathering recommendation letters and supporting documents.

Abstract Deadline

30 September 2026

Submit your abstract to Child Neurocon 2027. Abstract acceptance is a prerequisite for most travel grants.

Application Deadline

31 October 2026

Complete grant applications must be submitted. Late or incomplete applications are not considered.

Review & Decision

15 November 2026

Independent grants committee reviews applications. All applicants are notified of the decision via email.

Acceptance & Travel Booking

30 November 2026

Selected awardees confirm participation and begin coordinating travel and visa support with the secretariat.

Conference & Award Ceremony

18-20 February 2027

Awardees attend Child Neurocon 2027 and are recognised during the valedictory session.
